For Austins 12th birthday, we went to see the Battleship New Jersey which is moored at Camden, across the river from Philadelphia.  It is open now as a museum.

This video is his version of the trip

This video is Dads version of the trip!

Austin has a special video ( I did it).  He is a Happy Boy!  I think he is a nut!

Austin is in 6th grade this year, but he is at a new middle school!  I took a tour and it is very nice. He should do very well there this year. He is playing soccer also.  This is a picture of him, although on the bench he is waiting TO go in.  He was the only sub that day!  His team won 5-4, and they are 2-0 so far. Congratulations, Austin!

Note from Austin:  For the family out there across the country, my favorite band is Linkin Park. I love writing short stories. I also love reading books. One of my all time favorite books is The BFG by Roald Dahl. It's a book about a big friendly giant that kidnaps a little girl and together they tell the queen of england about the mean giants that gobble up little kids. I'm also working on my own website. It's nothing to look at yet, but soon it will be awesome!!!

Here is an exapmle of one of Austins Stories:

I was running for my life. Joe had fallen back, but he still was fast enough to escape the zombies. We were outside the school. Stupid weather. If the sun was out, the zombies would have died. But it just had to rain today. Joe had caught up. “They’re catching up!” he said. Stupidly, I looked behind me. He was right. They were literally right behind me. I tripped and fell over a tree root. The zombies were right on top of me. I managed to get out, but when I looked behind me again, I saw that Joe was a zombie, too. I climbed to the top of the Jungle Jim.  They surrounded me on all sides. I was trapped. The zombies climbed up. They were after me. They pulled me down to the ground, planning to feast on my brain. I could feel their icy, cold, nonliving flesh on my face. It’s over. I thought. I’m dead. Just then, the end-of-recess bell rang. And we all went inside to our next classes.
